LifeWorks NW, which serves the largest number of mental health and addiction services consumers in the Tri-Counties, announced today that its new Rockwood clinic is open. The new clinic will focus on providing integrated care to both current Gresham and Rockwood LifeWorks NW consumers, and anyone living in the neighborhood.
“We’re excited to open this new clinic,” says Mary Monnat, CEO. “This site is centrally located for consumers on Portland’s east side, and will offer an attractive and inviting place to receive not only mental health and addiction services, but care for their physical health, as well. Our consumers will even have access to dental care nearby through our medical partner, Wallace Medical Concern. This is a great opportunity to continue expanding LifeWorks NW’s efforts to provide holistic health for mind-body-spirit.”
“In addition to partnering with Wallace Medical Concern, the new site includes a pharmacy operated by Genoa Healthcare,” says Monnat. “This will enable us to serve the whole person, rather than separating the mind from the body.”
Many of LifeWorks NW’s consumers deal with multiple physical and psychological issues, while struggling with the fundamentals of life, such as food, housing, transportation, child care, etc. The new Rockwood clinic will offer an integrated care model, benefiting in part from a two- year state grant for interdisciplinary teams. LifeWorks NW’s long-term goal also is to increase preventive care, care management, shared decision making, and individual and family support, as well as health education around ending tobacco use, improving nutrition, increasing exercise and more.
“By providing access to a full array of services, we can reduce the barriers to care and support better outcomes for our consumers,” says Monnat. “We’re delighted to add this new site to our service group.”
The new site is located at 18417 SE Oak St., Portland.
