Cathy Reynolds joined Legacy Health in 2017 as director, Employment Strategy and Workforce Planning. In that role, she led the implementation of advanced recruiting processes and systems, and the deployment of workforce insights and reporting. In 2023, Cathy became vice president, Talent Management and is responsible for developing inclusive talent management strategies to attract, grow and retain the healthcare industry’s top performing talent.
Born in Northern Ireland, Cathy emigrated to Calgary, Canada, as a pre-teen. She lived, studied and worked throughout Canada before moving to the U.S. more than 20 years ago. She has called Portland and Oregon home since then.
Cathy has more than 25 years of experience in a variety of roles, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, organization development and training, operations, and employee and labor relations. She has worked in a variety of sectors, including health care, natural gas utility, public higher education, and the Canadian military. Cathy has a deep commitment to employment opportunity as a source of social and economic success for members of our community. To that end, she is focused on developing pipelines and pathways to careers, overcoming barriers to access, and ensuring rewarding opportunities for all.
Cathy holds a Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Organization Behavior from the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Anthropology from the University of Calgary. She is a member of the Oregon Workforce and Talent Development Board.
During her free time, Cathy likes to read, watch movies, travel, and spend time with her wife and their active household of four kids and four dogs, including an Irish Wolfhound.
