Dana Lopez currently serves as Vice President for Human Resources at the University of Portland. In this role, Lopez leads the University’s efforts to support employees, attract and retain a diverse and talented workforce, and enhance UP’s commitment to becoming an employer of choice in Portland and within higher education. Along with the Human Resources team, Lopez oversees recruitment and onboarding, compensation and benefits administration, engagement and professional development, wellness and employee relations, payroll and more.
Dana has spent the prior 20 years serving in leadership roles at Mount Saint Mary’s University, Otis College of Art & Design, UCLA, the American Red Cross, and Loyola Marymount University. Throughout her career in human resources, Dana has aspired to lead and serve with integrity, innovation, and inclusiveness.
A first-generation college graduate and a Honolulu, Hawaii native, Dana and her husband are proud parents of both a UP alum and entering first year student. She is delighted to be on the LifeWorks NW Board and looking forward to advancing its mission of responsiveness and holistic health values.
