Sean Jessup, CEO of Eastern Oregon CCO and vice president of Medicare & Medicaid Programs at Moda Health, has been an innovator in how health care is provided and paid for in Oregon for more than two decades. At Moda, Sean has held leadership positions in claims, customer service, provider contracting and benefits programming. Today, he oversees the operational and financial performance of the Eastern Oregon Coordinated Care Organization (EOCCO) and is responsible for oversight of Moda’s role within the Oregon Health and Science University Integrated Delivery System (OHSU IDS).
Sean works closely with the EOCCO and OHSU IDS Boards, local elected officials, public health advocates, as well as a wide range of hospital and provider partners to implement innovative programs and Value Based Payment models that reinvest savings back into the communities served with the goal to reduce costs and improve care for members of the Oregon Health Plan.
In July 2020 Sean assumed the added responsibility for operational and financial performance of Moda’s Medicare programs throughout Oregon. In 2021, Sean led and oversaw the launch of Summit Health Plan, Inc. where he serves as President of the company. Prior to joining Moda Health, he worked for Quest Diagnostics Medical laboratory and for a medical billing company in Oregon. Sean is an alumnus of the Strategic Marketing Management Executive Program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
