Julio Arroyo-Burdett, CADC I

Julio sees adults in our outpatient substance use disorder program at our Beaverton site.

Julio says, “My clinical approach is client-centered and relational, grounded in strengths and focused on helping people make meaningful, sustainable changes in their everyday lives, with family involvement included whenever possible to support the best possible outcomes. I emphasize progress over perfection and prioritize what my clients want to focus on.”

Julio has lived experience working with diverse populations, including veterans and members of the BIPOC and LBGTQIA+ communities.

Practices and modalities Julio uses include:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Trauma-Informed Care
Harm Reduction

“I became a provider because I have walked this path myself and want to use my lived experience to support others in their recovery,” Julio says. “What I enjoy most about this work is helping people succeed in the treatment plans they create for themselves and seeing their growth over time.”

Outside of work, Julio enjoys playing pinball and restoring old pinball machines.
