Early Assessment and Support Alliance (EASA)

The Early Assessment and Support Alliance (EASA) program helps young people ages 12-30 who may be showing early signs of psychosis.

Psychosis can change how a person thinks, feels, or sees the world. This can make it hard to know what is real and what is not. According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), about 3 out of 100 people will experience psychosis at some point in their life.

Early symptoms can be easy to miss, but they can be serious. They can make school friendships, and daily life more difficult.

Common early symptoms:

  • Trouble organizing thoughts
  • Difficulty filtering out information
  • Feeling overwhelmed by light, sound, smells, or touch
  • Losing interest in friends or activities
  • Trouble focusing or keeping up with school or work

The EASA program offers support from a team people, who may include mental health therapists, medical providers, occupational therapists, and peer support and employment specialists.

Support may include:

  • Coaching to help the young person understand changes and do well in school and daily life
  • Classes or groups to build skills
  • Guidance for families, schools, and others who support the young person

If you or someone you know is experiencing these changes, contact us. We are here to support you.
